What is Uzima In Our Hands?
Uzima In Our Hands is an Isle Of Wight based Christian Charity. We support vulnerable children in rural Western Kenya mainly with scholarships to attend school.
What are the sponsorship costs?

£50 a month sends a vulnerable, teenage girl to a Secondary Boarding School where she will be safe from harm.

As little as £5 per month can help a Primary School pupil.

Every child supported by Uzima in Our Hands is vetted carefully by the charity 'Rise to Shine Education Foundation' based in Kenya. This partnership with RTSEF has developed since the start of 2022. Every child has good reason to be sponsored; many of them have lost one or both parents, often due to HIV/AIDS. They may also have HIV/AIDS themselves, Special Needs, health needs or live in abject poverty. Scholarships mean these children have hope for a better future and the support helps to alleviate the extreme burden put on the families left to care for orphans and children with Special needs.
